Donate Items

EVERY donation makes a difference...

Our ReStores are supplied with QUALITY, REUSABLE donated furniture, appliances, and building materials through the generosity of people like you.

All revenue from the ReStore supports Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce in our efforts to build affordable homes throughout Grey and Bruce.

Our staff and volunteers are happy to answer any questions you have about the suitability of your donation.

Some items normally accepted can be overstocked, and may not be accepted from time to time.

If you have any concerns regarding the eligibility of your donated items, call your local ReStore prior to drop off.

All donations must be inspected during our normal business hours.

Please do not drop off materials after business hours.

Habitat Grey Bruce has partnered with Recycling Rewards to provide donation bins for used clothing and household goods at each of our locations. All donated items are sorted and recycled, re-purposed or donated to developing nations.

If you wish to request a pick up or have our salvage crew out to retrieve materials from your home or project site, please contact our Salvage Coordinator.

A tax receipt can be issued for any donation over an assessed value of $100

Items must be in good Reusable condition

Building Materials: windows, doors, cabinetry, flooring, lumber, trim, plumbing, electrical hardware, caulking (unopened), nails, fasteners, blocks/bricks, shingles, insulation

Home and Garden: lawn mowers, trimmers, hoses, power washers, shop vacuums, vacuum cleaners, snowblowers, BBQ’s, sheds

Tools: power tools, hand tools, garden tools

Bath Fixtures: tubs, vanities, faucets, showers, shower doors

Furniture: dining sets, coffee tables, end tables, computer desks, patio sets, chairs, couches, desks, dressers, hutches, armoires, bed frames, head & foot boards, book shelves, filing cabinets

Household items: light fixtures, lamps, bulbs, painting accessories, framed mirrors, shelving, mailboxes, electric fireplaces, surrounds, mantels

Kitchen fixtures: sinks, fridges, stoves, microwaves, cabinets, counter-tops

Small electronics and appliances: toasters, mixers, blenders, stereos,

Accessories: purses, wallets, backpacks, bags, jewelry

Textiles: shoes, bed sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, curtains, tablecloths

Miscellaneous: luggage, pool supplies, sewing machines, office supplies, air-conditioners, dehumidifiers

Heath & beauty: hair dryers, curling irons, electric toothbrushes, razors

Exercise & outdoor equipment: bicycles, camping & sports equipment, hunting & fishing gear

Children’s items: toys, games, puzzles, electronics, swing sets, car seats, cribs, cradles
