Habitat for Humanity® National Student Writing Contest Now Open Meaning of Home “What does home mean to you?”

Owen Sound/Grey/Bruce, ON – Students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 are invited to share what home means to them in a national writing contest that is now open and accepting entries. Three grand prize winners will be selected from across Canada and receive a $30,000 grant to help their local Habitat for Humanity® build a place to call home for a family in need of affordable housing.

Habitat for Humanity® has released the results of a new national survey revealing Canadians’ attitudes towards the affordable housing crisis in Canada and sheds light on the growing barriers to housing and homeownership.

TC Energy is proud to be partnering
with Habitat Canada, Habitat Grey Bruce, the Chippewas of
Nawash Unceded First Nation, and the Saugeen First Nation.
Through this partnership, our team has worked alongside
homeowners and community members to help build 11 homes
within the Saugeen Ojibway Nation traditional territory.
 

Westlake Royal Building Products™ Partners with Habitat for Humanity® Grey Bruce to Build Homes in Saugeen First Nation

WOODBRIDGE, ON – Together with Habitat for Humanity Grey BruceWestlake Royal Building Products announced an instrumental nationwide partnership to provide Westlake Royal siding products and materials for seven new homes in Saugeen First Nation in Southampton, Ontario, Canada. These are the first seven homes that are part of a greater partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada in which Westlake Royal has committed to donate materials for ten homes per year.
 
Habitat for Humanity® Grey Bruce and Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board form a Collaborative Partnership to launch a Tiny Home Pilot for Saugeen First Nation! 
 
OWEN SOUND, ON – Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce and Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board are excited to announce the formation of a new collaborative partnership to engage students and faculty at
St. Mary’s High School in building a Tiny Home for Saugeen First Nation.  
 
Habitat for Humanity® Grey Bruce National Award Winners at Annual Habitat Canada Conference
Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce is the 2021 recipient of two (2) National Awards that were presented to Executive Director, Greg Fryer at the Habitat for Humanity Canada Annual Conference.  The categories they won in were; Expanded Impact and the Habitat One Award.
