Habitat Grey Bruce has launched this program to meet a newly identified need in our community
We often receive calls from people as they are downsizing or moving or who are executors of estates. They have items that will move to new locations but are unsure of what to do with the rest of the ‘stuff.
Habitat Grey Bruce will send our community liaison and professional team to:
- Do an on-site inspection to develop a plan tailored to your needs
- Pack & transport items for donation, recycling or disposal (paper, plastic, scrap metal, e-waste, household hazardous waste, etc)
- Issue a tax receipt in accordance with CRA guidelines
- Provide a basic surface clean – leaving the home tidy once all items are removed
The ReMove Program is a fee-based service
Habitat Grey Bruce works with community groups to divert useable items from landfills and promote proper stewardship. Any items that are not able to be resold by the Habitat ReStore will be distributed to other community groups including the Salvation Army, Mission Thrift Store, Women’s Shelter and more.
